At the 2008 NRBC Assistant trainer Nathan Morton again paired up
with A Little Dunit to finish 8th in the Limited Open finals, earning
$2,371 for owner Susan Palmer.
In
the ancillary classes at the NRBC, both Amy Potts riding Flawless
Footwork, and Kathy Beres on Guinness Light had Top 10 finishes
in the Limited Non Pro classes. Congratulations!

Heikes was 2-time Champion of the open class, and circuit champion
on Jacs Boomer Toy,
owned by Nick Chavez. Their awards included 2 Morrison
trophies, and a championship buckle. This nice horse is for sale!
- Assistant
trainer Nathan Morton won the Limited Open Classic Derby on A
Little Dunit, owned by Susan Palmer, and was sixth in the Intermediate
division of the Derby to earn over $1,428. Their prizes included
a Lawson Bronze Trophy, new NRHA riders Trophy and a Championship
buckle.
- Amy
Potts was Champion of the Limted Non Pro Class on Flawless Footworks.
Amy won a Pewter trophy.
- Assistant
trainer Nathan Morton won the Limited Open Class Circuit Championship
on Karen Barber's gelding, Hes Lenas Topgun. Their prizes included
a championship buckle. Nathan
was also 3rd on Anna Schwartz's gelding Mr Rowdy Dandee.
- Carlie
McKinzie was 3rd in the Non Pro Classic Derby on Mr Moth Money,
earning $2,336.
- George
McKinzie made his debut on RU Missin Diamonds, and was Co-Champion
of the Non Pro class and Prime Time Non Pro class.

What
a way to end the year!! Congratulations to Carlie McKinzie and Almond
Bark Chic. 2007 NRHA Youth Futurity Champions, Carlie also finished
4th in the Intermediate Non Pro division, and 13th in the open Non
Pro division of the NRHA Futurity. Those earnings put Carlie over
the $100,000 mark in NRHA earnings. |

the 2007 Burbank California Reining Horse Challenge, Amy Potts and
Flawless Footwork were Reserve Champions in the Ltd Non Pro Derby,
while also placing 5th in the Non Pro and Int Non Pro derby divisions.
Congrats
also to Bill Coburn, who was the Co-Reserve Champion in all three
divisions of the Non Pro Futurity on Electric Lady Bee. This nice
mare is sired by Jacs Electric
Spark.

to Ryann McKinzie and Whiztacular, Champions of the Youth 14-18
class. Big sister Carlie was Champion in both the Non Pro and Intermediate
Non Pro division of the Derby on RU Missin Diamonds. Carlie also
took home 5th place in the Non Pro Derby and 4th in the Int Non
Pro Derby on Mr Moth Money.

at Skyline Ranch in Carbondale, Colorado.

Heikes donated his time to put on a full clinic to raise money for
the National Youth Reining Horse Association. Everyone had a great
time and learned a lot while raising money for the youth association.

the NRHA Derby, Carlie McKinzie won the Int Non Pro Derby Championship,
and finished 5th in the open Non Pro Derby finals on her super talented
gelding, RU Missin Diamonds. Carlie also had a strong go round performance,
tying to win the Int Non Pro first go, and placing in the top 10
standings in the Non Pro first go. In
addition to the $15,000 payout, Carlie and "Diamond" took home the
Championship saddle, buckle and Lawson bronze. Congratulations Carlie
!!
